“An open source browser based on WebKit”

Sunrise Browser loads pages up fairly quickly, and we enjoyed the fact that if you type a word in the url bar it will take you to the search result page in Google. You can also add all your favorite search engines from the preferences menu. The browser supports tabs, which is a prerequisite of any modern browser and can be adapted to 4 different screen sizes, from 800*600 to 1280*1024.

We didn't really like the way Sunrise Browser handles bookmarks. Basically it offers a graphical, thumbnail view of them on the lower half of your screen. While this looks nice if you have few bookmarks, it's difficult to browse through once you have more than 3. We were also disappointed by the "save as pdf" function which did not copy pages, especially graphics and photos, properly.

Sunrise Browser seems more like a project in development, but if it manages to patch up some of its shortcomings, it can turn out to be a stable browser.
